Tours, Events & Activities

The Duluth Preservation Alliance offers a rotating schedule of programs, workshops, and community gatherings focused on historic preservation, local architecture, and neighborhood history. These events bring together residents and experts to share knowledge and support the ongoing care of Duluth’s historic places.

2026 Annual Fall Tour

Our annual Historic Properties Tour took place on September 20, 2026, welcoming more than 350 people to explore six incredible Duluth properties and celebrate the architecture, history and stories that make our city unique.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered and opened their doors to make the day such a success. Proceeds from the tour support DPA’s work to preserve, protect and celebrate Duluth’s historic places.

We can’t wait to do it again! Mark your calendar for the third Sunday in September and join us for next year’s Historic Properties Tour.

Preservation Awards & Centennial Recognition — Held Every May

Each May during National Preservation Month, the Duluth Preservation Alliance celebrates the individuals, properties, and projects helping preserve the character and history of our community. From carefully restored homes to longtime neighborhood landmarks, these preservation efforts play an important role in maintaining Duluth’s architectural heritage for future generations.

Through the Preservation Awards and Centennial Recognition Program, DPA recognizes outstanding stewardship, restoration work, and historic properties that continue to shape Duluth’s story.
