Tours, Events & Activities

The Duluth Preservation Alliance offers a rotating schedule of programs, workshops, and community gatherings focused on historic preservation, local architecture, and neighborhood history. These events bring together residents and experts to share knowledge and support the ongoing care of Duluth’s historic places.

Save the Date! 2026 Annual Fall Tour

Ever wondered what’s inside some of Duluth’s most admired historic properties? The Annual Fall Tour (sometimes referred to as the Historic Properties Tour) offers a rare peek into a select collection of historic homes, buildings, and landmarks while supporting the work of the Duluth Preservation Alliance. As DPA’s largest annual fundraiser, proceeds help support our preservation grant initiative and free community programs throughout the year.

May Every Year

Preservation Awards & Centennial Recognition — Held Every May

Each May during National Preservation Month, the Duluth Preservation Alliance celebrates the individuals, properties, and projects helping preserve the character and history of our community. From carefully restored homes to longtime neighborhood landmarks, these preservation efforts play an important role in maintaining Duluth’s architectural heritage for future generations.

Through the Preservation Awards and Centennial Recognition Program, DPA recognizes outstanding stewardship, restoration work, and historic properties that continue to shape Duluth’s story.
