Preserve Duluth’s Legacy at
America’s 250th

Dear Friends of Preservation,

Each May, during National Preservation Month, the Duluth Preservation Alliance celebrates the places, neighborhoods, and historic landmarks that define our city’s character.

As we look ahead to 2026 and the United States Semiquincentennial — the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence — preservation is more important than ever. Duluth’s historic buildings and districts connect our local story to the broader American story, and DPA is committed to protecting these places for future generations.

Your support helps DPA:

  • Expand public programs and educational events
  • Advocate for endangered historic places
  • Provide preservation grants for historic properties
  • Promote awareness of Duluth’s architectural heritage
  • Protect the character and history of our community

Preservation is more than saving old buildings — it’s an investment in a stronger, more vibrant future for Duluth.

During Preservation Month, we invite you to support the Duluth Preservation Alliance through a financial contribution. Every donation, regardless of size, directly supports our mission and helps preserve the places and stories that make Duluth unique.

Thank you for helping protect Duluth’s legacy.

Sincerely,

Duluth Preservation Alliance Board of Directors
