Duluth Public Library’s main branch from 1902-1980. Andrew Carnegie originally gave Duluth $50,000 for the library. The City of Duluth requested $25,000 more as the original donation would not have covered the cost. Lawyer Chester Congdon, through his connection with Pittsburgh steelmaker Henry Oliver, was able to convince Carnegie to give Duluth the additional funds.

It is currently an office building.
