Take a Hike on the Mission Creek Trail!

Iron Mug Coffee House, 1096 88th Avenue West, Duluth, MN

Join Doug Stevens and Bob Berg on Saturday October 7 and walk the old Mission Creek segment of Skyline Parkway where cars once crossed over seven bridges. The Mission Creek segment opened in 1927 and closed after a flood on July 1, 1958.
We will meet at the Iron Mug in Morgan Park 1096 88th Ave West at 12:30 pm and drive to the entrance off of Beck’s Road. Leaving cars there and at the other entrance off of Highway 210. Then we will walk 2 1/4 miles from Beck’s Road to Highway 210.
This will be a great opportunity to learn about how this section of the parkway came into being! You will be crossing Mission Creek in two places, which will involve some rock hopping. Please make sure you wear footwear at can stand getting a little wet.  Afterward we will return to the Iron Mug for refreshments. The event will be canceled in the case of rain.
